Family Pet Service Health Guarantee
At Family Pet Service, we are dedicated to breeding healthy, well-socialized, and high-quality French Bulldogs, Maltipoos, and Yorkshire Terriers (Yorkies). Our priority is to provide families with strong, well-adjusted puppies that meet the highest standards of health and temperament. To ensure your peace of mind, we offer the following Health Guarantee for all puppies purchased from Family Pet Service.
1. Health Guarantee Overview
We guarantee that all puppies sold by Family Pet Service are healthy at the time of sale. Each puppy undergoes a thorough health screening and veterinary examination and receives age-appropriate vaccinations before being placed in their new home.
2. Health Screening and Veterinary Care
Before leaving our care, every puppy receives a comprehensive vet check performed by a licensed veterinarian, which includes:
A full physical examination
Parasite screening and deworming
Up-to-date vaccinations (appropriate for the puppy’s age)
An overall health assessment to ensure the puppy is free from any genetic, hereditary, or contagious diseases
3. 72-Hour Initial Health Guarantee
We provide a 72-hour initial health guarantee to ensure that your puppy arrives in good health. If your puppy is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness (such as parvovirus, distemper, or a congenital defect) within 72 hours of receiving your puppy, you may return the puppy for a full refund or exchange, provided that:
The diagnosis is made by a licensed veterinarian.
The illness is not due to an injury, mishandling, or exposure to an unclean environment after the puppy leaves our care.
You provide a written veterinarian report and medical documentation confirming the diagnosis.
Beyond this 72-hour period, our health guarantee does not cover illnesses or conditions that develop unless they are proven to be related to a genetic or congenital disorder.
4. One-Year Genetic Health Guarantee
We stand behind the genetic health of our puppies and offer a one-year genetic health guarantee. If your puppy is diagnosed with a genetic or hereditary condition within the first year of life, we will:
Provide a replacement puppy from an upcoming litter, or
Offer a partial refund, depending on the severity of the condition (at Family Pet Service’s discretion).
Genetic conditions covered under this guarantee include, but are not limited to:
Hip Dysplasia (severe cases affecting mobility)
Heart Defects (congenital heart disease)
Respiratory Conditions (specific to breed genetics)
Hereditary Eye Disorders (progressive retinal atrophy, cataracts)
This guarantee does not cover conditions caused by external factors such as injuries, neglect, poor diet, or failure to follow veterinary recommendations.
5. Exclusions – What Is Not Covered?
While we strive to produce the healthiest puppies possible, some health concerns fall outside of our guarantee. The following are not covered:
Injuries – Any condition caused by accidental injury after the puppy leaves our care.
Environmental Factors – Health issues resulting from exposure to unsanitary conditions, improper care, neglect, or inadequate nutrition after adoption.
Improper Care – Conditions caused by lack of veterinary care, poor diet, lack of exercise, or failure to follow recommended vaccination and deworming schedules.
Behavioral Issues – Conditions such as separation anxiety, excessive barking, or aggression are not covered, as they are influenced by training, environment, and socialization.
6. Buyer’s Responsibilities
To ensure the continued health and well-being of your puppy, you agree to the following:
Veterinary Checkup – You must take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian within seven (7) days of receiving them for a wellness exam.
Routine Care – You are responsible for vaccinations, parasite control, flea and tick prevention, and regular vet checkups.
Proper Nutrition & Exercise – Providing a balanced diet, clean water, regular exercise, and a loving home is essential for your puppy’s health.
Safe Living Environment – Your puppy must be kept in a safe, clean, and stress-free environment.
Failure to meet these responsibilities may void the health guarantee.
7. If Your Puppy Develops a Health Issue
If you believe your puppy has developed a condition covered under this guarantee, follow these steps:
Contact Us Immediately – Notify Family Pet Service as soon as possible.
Veterinary Evaluation – Have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian and obtain a detailed written diagnosis.
Provide Documentation – Submit the vet’s report, medical records, and proof of purchase to us for review.
Resolution Process – Based on the diagnosis, we will determine the appropriate course of action, which may include a replacement puppy, refund, or assistance with medical costs.
8. Terms of Agreement
By purchasing a puppy from Family Pet Service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Health Guarantee. This guarantee applies only to the original buyer and is non-transferable. The buyer agrees to provide proper care, nutrition, and veterinary attention throughout the puppy’s life.
This guarantee becomes void if the puppy is found to have been neglected, abused, overbred, rehomed without proper care, or exposed to harmful environments.
9. Disclaimer
While we take every precaution to ensure our puppies are healthy at the time of sale, some health conditions can arise due to genetic mutations, unforeseen illnesses, or environmental factors beyond our control. This Health Guarantee is intended to offer peace of mind and outline our commitment to ethical breeding and responsible pet ownership.
